This exciting trio have been hard at work for the last 5 years developing their sound and in early April 2012 recorded their highly anticipated debut album. Made up of three of the most in-demand improvisers on the Birmingham jazz scene, Cabal present material inspired by 1940′s cinema, children’s television and jazz.
Cabal will be at the Ort launching their debut album with a FREE COPY for everyone at the gig as well as performing the entire record live.

We will still have Shohei playing tonight and Mac from The Kings of Spain will be playing. The door fee will be dropped to £2 to pay for musicians expenses. Sorry!

The fabulous Caution Elephant return to Ort after the last gig being a huge success despite snowy conditions. They have new material, have been recording an EP and we guarantee snow free conditions!

They will be supported by the American Shohei Kobayashi, a singer-songwriter playing beautifully crafted songs.

Please join us for the Private View of Pedro Pires’ Solo Exhibition from 6pm. Pedro is a London-based Portuguese artist whose work is engaged in the inquiry with the human body and the act of measuring. Pedro measures his own body through a sculptural or photographic language and makes the viewer question how we encounter other bodies in the world.
