THURSDAY 10TH MAY 7PM FREE
Latvian animator Signe Baumane envelopes us inside her personal battle with depression and madness in this fiercely imaginative and beautifully crafted stop-motion feature.
Casting her mind’s eye back to five women in her family history at a time when Latvia was under Soviet and Nazi rule, the artist seeks her own explanations to the questions of identity and self-determination in a crazy world.
Are we stitched into the skin of our ancestors? What does it take to break with our conditioning?
**Content warning: the film contains strong imagery and narration dealing with depression, suicide and psychosis.**
The Real Junk Food Project will be helping us out in the kitchen, serving food from 7 on a pay-as-you-feel basis.
